Manufacturing

Frames

Car Bench frames are manufactured from a high tensile strength steel called Fe 510-D. By insisting on only the highest quality steel, Car Bench avoids the material weaknesses and fatigue problems suffered by lesser-quality steels. Each frame is fabricated with special fixtures to ensure precise alignment. Computerized machinery mills the datum faces of the frame and then drills and threads it – all with a maximum tolerance of 50 thousandths of a millimeter. After assembly, each frame is finished with a special plating process to protect it from oxidation and provide its gorgeous finished appearance.

Crossbeams

The same high quality steel used in the manufacture of the frames is used for production of the crossbeams. Car Bench uses only this special high-strength steel to ensure that the crossbeams can withstand extreme amounts of stress. Robotic arms are used to maneuver the crossbeams throughout production, so each beam is milled on all faces, drilled, and threaded on a fully automated system that maintains a perfect working center. This stringent manufacturing process reduces tolerances to 50 thousandths of a millimeter. Each crossbeam is finished with a special plating process to protect it from oxidation and ensure a lifetime of trouble-free use.

Fixture Supports

Car Bench jig supports are manufactured using modular cast iron GS 800/2. Each support is machined by CNC machines to strict specifications, guaranteeing a high-quality product with very fine dimensional tolerances. After machining, each support is individually checked with a sophisticated electronic measuring system to ensure that it is within ten thousandths of a millimeter of each specified dimension.

Quick Couplers

Look closely and you’ll see that Car Bench’s hydraulic couplers are specially-engineered, flat-face fittings. These unique fittings are constructed of hardened, zinc-plated steel and feature a patented seal design that ensures quick, non-drip connections. Plus, these fittings are tough as nails. Each fitting withstands working pressures up to 14,500 psi (that’s well beyond the maximum output capacity of the 10,000-psi pumps) and has a minimum bursting pressure of 37,700 psi. With fittings so properly overbuilt, you know they’ll last a lifetime.
